FAQ
The Hunt Trail is strenuous—about 10 miles round trip with 4,000 ft of elevation gain. This is a serious hike. We require participants to be in reasonable physical condition and prepared for a full day of exertion. When in doubt, reach out before booking.
Sturdy, broken-in hiking boots with ankle support are required. Trail runners are acceptable for experienced hikers. No sneakers or casual footwear.
Baxter State Park uses a reservation system and caps daily hikers. We secure our group permit well in advance. Your spot is guaranteed once you book.
